04 Narcissist Radio (lament of a sellout)

What narcissism I don't know made me turn on the radio
when I know that I can't bear the sound
of stifled creativity and artists forced to fill the need
of the pocketbooks of a record company.

Take me back to the underground where genius and madness can still be found
together in a perfect harmony
In need of a new direction as I flip through my record collection
and I get there when the music starts to play.

At nights when cats come out to play I leave the worries of the day
and see what kind of action may be found
I step into a club in town where all the cats are gathered around
to hear their favorite band rock the night away

Guitar, drums, and double bass will shake the walls of this old place
and with a quake, level it to the ground
Anticipation exponentiates and pulses start to accelerate
and the lights go down as the band takes the stage.
