Throw The Pills Away!

from Digging Our Graves With Our Own Teeth by Hurt Hawks

lyrics

Big companies are pushing pills with claims they’ll cure your ills, but I think it’s snake oil.
My body isn’t pill deficient! In fact, it’s rather resistant to foreign chemicals.
Throw the pills away!

America is drug addicted and only more afflicted by side effects and failed kidneys.
I’m calling for an intervention! And with an ounce of prevention we can cure chronic disease.
Throw the pills away!

And it ain’t even funny what people will do for money, yeah it is so wrong!
With their record of deception it’s time to awake your perception to what’s really going on.
Money buys FDA approval when studies call for the removal of drugs that kill.
They’ll always have new pills to tout. That’s why I’ve got to speak out. If not me then who will?
Throw the pills away!

Big companies are pushing pills with claims they’ll cure your ills, but I think it’s snake oil.
Pills will only treat the symptoms, but never your disease. Do I have to beg you, please?
To eat some fruit and ride a bike and you’ll be feeling alright. Get some rest to feel your best.
Then you’ll throw the pills away and start a brand new day. You’ve only got one life to live!
Throw the pills away!
